Senior Analyst Technical Product Management – Chemistry Applications
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, a part of Johnson & Johnson’s Family of companies, is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Analyst Technical Product Management for Chemistry Systems across our Discovery and Development Synthetics portfolio.. Our mission is to use the best technology to design and deliver high performing, scalable platforms to enable expedited molecular exploration, invention, and prioritization and to accelerate the development and optimization of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to deliver the best product and process at launch. This position’s primary location will be B eerse, Belgium and requires < 10% occasional travel.
The successful candidate will work within the R&D Business Technology organization to enable both Therapeutics Discovery and Therapeutics Development.
The Therapeutic Discovery Business Technology team has the goal to deliver a digitally transformed Discovery Engine, enabling expedited exploration of a larger and more diverse molecular space through automation, novel modalities, profiling approaches and the translation of data science into molecular invention & prioritization. While Therapeutics Development Product Group Mission is to Enable and Accelerate the Best Product & Process at Launch for the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D portfolio. To achieve this the Therapeutics Development PG must deliver and maintain a robust, modular, and integrated Product stack that can agilely be deployed to accommodate laboratory automation, integrated quality, and predictive modeling into the development process.
In this Senior Analyst role, the successful candidate will help shape and realize enterprise-wide global discovery and development platforms, to modernize and support lead discovery, optimization and chemical process scale-up activities in our Synthetics space.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to define, scout, implement and champion new data-driven and scientific IT approaches across synthetics Discovery and Development globally.
- Drive alignment in chemistry-focused technology solutions across our Discovery and Development organization
- Lead cross-site, multi-disciplinary projects with internal and external partners.
- Identify and drive opportunities to enable the modernization of chemistry-centric decision-making.
- Promote the engagement and commitment of team members and ensuring excellent communication between researchers, developers, and suppliers.
- Define project goals and manage risks/budgets to ensure impact, including post project evaluations and communicate accordingly to stakeholders.
- Evaluate and communicate the strengths and weaknesses of business processes. Identify new business requirements and develop the business change strategies to address the needs of stakeholders by improving information systems, procedures and championing organizational change.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Data Science subject or related subject area is required, with demonstrable experience to work with informatics and scientific IT applications OR a master’s degree and pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience enabling chemistry systems within the pharmaceutical industry
- Foundational skillset in IT, showcasing proficiency in areas such as database management, data engineering, cloud computing concepts, and IT architecture.
- Understanding of SDLC and related documentation for both GxP and Non-GxP data systems is desirable.
- Experience in working with sophisticated data solutions in an Agile/Scrum, Cloud-based environment, and deployments at a global scal ia preferred
- Strong Business Sense & Interpersonal skills. Ability to work with business partners to understand business requirements and strategy
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving needs.
- Demonstrable ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative partnerships, teams, and trust across functions.
- Experience with commercial chemistry software providers is desirable.
