Position Purpose

Responsible for leading the development and execution of China commercial excellence strategy, aligned with broader APAC commercial excellence strategy and business strategy of JJIM China.

  • Accountable for market performance by driving in-market competitiveness aligned with business priorities: Develop and deliver a strategy to drive sales force effectiveness, deliver patient experience program, customer engagement activities and other commercial excellence operations across all business units of JJIM China
  • Responsible for leading strategic capability development in China market, aligned to regional strategic direction and long-term organizational and business needs.
  • Sit in JJIM China Leadership Team and APAC Commercial Excellence Leadership Team as a core member to lead and drive JJIM China commercial excellence strategy and build strong partnerships across the wider APAC Commercial Excellence team to influence and improve the way we operate in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Force Effectiveness – Partner with JJIM China Leadership team to elevate competitiveness by delivering on sales force effectiveness, incl. assessment and optimization of sales force effectiveness, sales structure and territory design, sales target allocation and incentive scheme development and execution etc. to improve sales force effectiveness.
  • Capability Building – Contribute to APAC capability development strategy, lead the deployment of APAC strategy to China market, and partner with JJIM China Leadership Team to develop and deliver countrywide training and development plan aligned with business priorities and future oriented organizational capability building.
  • Customer Experience – Drive broad adoption of value excellence into business practice to enhance customer insights generation, insight-driven strategy development, and integrated cross-functional execution. Elevate quality of customer engagement through omni-channel approach enabled by AI/machine learning, while creating a centre of excellence approach in developing agile campaigns and content strategy and driving changes.
  • Patient Experience – Generate patient insight, develop & carry out innovative PXP program, as well as explore PSP innovation mode to improve patient experience.
  • Sales Operation – Manage sales operating system and deliver sales operation with high quality, ensure routine operation excellence of business units, and explore the opportunities to improve operation efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Thought Leadership – bring external trends and insights around evolving customer engagement models and recommend and drive new innovative commercial models with both China and APAC wide impact.
  • Change Leadership – lead the organization through change, as part of our Excelerate transformation and the ongoing evolution of business models. Inspire our people to buy into change and provide clear vision and direction for the future.
  • People Leadership – lead a diverse team of talent across SFE, Patient Experience, Customer Experience, Capability Building and Business Operation functions. Drive collaboration within the team, across JJIM China business units and functions, and across the region to deliver on strategies. Empower team members to execute and champion their careers and development.

Experience or qualifications that are critical to this position

  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in healthcare industry; Commercial leadership experience will be valued.
  • Minimum 5-year leadership experience in leading a large and diverse team.
  • A recognized thought leader with deep industry knowledge and market insights and an influencer who can synthesize and integrate multiple inputs and translate them into simple solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented, creative mindset
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple stakeholders and establish common goals and objectives to ensure outcomes.
  • Experience of driving change management for innovation across an organization
  • Strong communication & presentation skill in both English and Chinese. Global mindset with the experience of exploring synergies or best practice across different markets.
