Join a dynamic environment at Johnson & Johnson, contributing to our innovative production site. As a Process Microbiologist, you'll enhance contamination control strategies and microbiological hygiene programs, directly impacting large molecule production and new product development.


What you will be doing:

  • Setting up microbiological systems required by GMP production processes in a redesigned facility and supporting routine production.
  • Identifying, documenting, and advancing risks, as well as addressing and following up on preventive actions resulting from risk assessments, observations, and deviations.
  • Driving and actively contributing to the introduction of improvements to reduce contamination risk and increase microbiological hygiene, overseeing the implementation and safeguarding of these improvements.
  • Establishing, managing, and improving training curricula in microbiological hygiene and contamination prevention, tailored to each employee involved in production.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities in the workplace regarding microbiological hygiene and contamination prevention, actively following them up in close collaboration with employees and managers.
  • Transferring knowledge and imparting understanding by effectively communicating with various organizational layers.
  • Supporting the investigation team on deviations and observations.

  • Ability to motivate and coach people, acting as a trainer in your field of expertise.
  • Sound decision-making skills, capable of balancing risks and making difficult decisions.
  • Ownership of your work with the ability to plan and structure it effectively.
  • Experience with Problem Solving skills such as Kepner-Tregoe is a plus.

Qualifications

We would like to hear form you, if you meet the following requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent experience in science, preferably microbiology or a related field.
  • Experience in (pharmaceutical) production with a demonstrable interest in processing and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with aseptic processing is a plus.
  • Awareness of and experience with cGMP standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English (required) and Dutch (preferred).
