Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Packaging Material Engineer, located in Beerse, Belgium.
A Packaging Material Engineer is responsible for supporting the manufacturing processes at Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) Beerse (Devices, Liquids & Creams, Sterile & Transdermal products), to ensure high-quality products and reliable operations. If you are interested in designing, introducing, and optimizing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials for pharmaceutical products, then this role is perfect for you! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the introduction of new products with a focus on designing new packaging materials (e.g., TAR200, Lumen).
- Lead and support supplier- and site-initiated material changes.
- Handle root cause problem-solving activities to improve manufacturing reliability.
- Create or update technical templates and drawings of secondary and tertiary packaging materials.
- Perform and coordinate transportation studies to ensure the protection and quality of the primary package and the finished pharmaceutical product during transport to our patients
- Complete line trials to confirm that new and changed materials are processable on our packaging lines.
Befähigungen
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a technical field: Science, Pharmacy, or Engineering.
- Other relevant fields of study are accepted and will be considered.
Experience & Skills:
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a pharma/life sciences environment.
- Experience in at least one of the following functions: clinical supply chain, commercial supply chain, logistics, or in a support role for packaging engineering.
- Proficiency in Dutch, as interaction with our operators in the supply chain is required
Preferred:
- Strong interest in working in a pharmaceutical environment with a focus on packaging processes and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in Dutch and English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Other
- Certification or training as an FPX project manager is a plus.
