Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Director, US Professional Education to join our Joint Reconstruction & VELYS team preferably based at a J&J Institute location in Palm Beach Garden, FL, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA, however remote consideration may be provided.

Summary:

The Director of US Professional Education for Joint Reconstruction and VELYS is a leadership role within the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Joint Reconstruction Global EdTech team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Education - Joint Reconstruction & VELYS, this role leads a multi-layered team of professionals to execute worldclass Joint Recon & VELYS Professional Education programs in alignment with the US business strategy. This leader will establish an environment of close collaboration within EdTech and with commercial stakeholders to execute programs to the highest education standards, delighting customers, accelerating time to mastery, and facilitating the adoption of our products for safe and effective use.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with senior commercial leadership to understand business objectives and execute programming aligned with the US commercial and education strategy. Ensures that education priorities align to the businesses’ strategic priorities.
  • Oversees the delivery of all company Joint Recon & VELYS professional education programs.
  • Integrates NPIs and emerging digital technologies into ProfEd programming.
  • Maximizes departmental resources to execute full spectrum of events providing learners with a 360-degree learning experience, from virtual learning pathways, proctorships, preceptorships, CEVs, local labs, Connects, Flagship courses, symposia, etc.
  • Builds and executes faculty pipeline strategy ensuring a comprehensive plan to develop expertise and diversity in our faculty bank. Established and maintains strong relationships with our faculty.
  • Executes upon Company strategic programs (e.g. rebranding, portfolio optimization projects, etc.)
  • Fully optimizes the Johnson & Johnson Institute experiences by implementing branding, environment, technology and workflow standards for internal and external events
  • Seeks ways to leverage learning technology to enhance learning experiences and increase learner engagement; innovates through reimaging traditional hands on experiences to maximize breadth of simulated experiences
  • Integrates Digital Solutions into the education ecosystem to maximize data and analytic capabilities
  • Develops talent to include: Excellence in Five Conversations, recruitment, on-boarding, training/development and succession planning; fosters a high performance environment and culture of collaboration, recognition, diversity, and innovation.
  • Builds strong instructional delivery capability, measures, and continuously improves effectiveness of internal and external education programming.
  • Works with other functions/departments (HCC, Procurement, Legal, PR&O, etc.) on HCP selection/ contracting, preferred suppliers, contract negotiations and statements of work to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Accountability for developing annual business plan, tracking, reporting and achieving operating budget.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Befähigungen

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years in Education, Sales, Marketing, or other Commercial Function in MedTech with a history of driving results
  • Minimum of 5 years successfully leading a team of managers and individual contributors
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy; translate it into solutions that support the company’s business goals

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in Professional Education, Sales Training and/or Joint Reconstruction

Other:

  • Strategy development and execution
  • OPEX and CAPEX budget and resource management
  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, and/or Professional Education
  • Strong influence management and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop internal and external networks
  • Demonstrated track record for standards of leadership
  • Demonstrated experience executing high-profile, customer facing events

Location and Travel:

  • Strong preference for candidate to be located at a JJI location; remote will be considered
  • Up to 50% domestic travel required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
