Role Overview:

As the Associate Director, Marketing Excellence, you will oversee the development and implementation of strategies focused on enhancing marketing competency, agility, and customer experience (CX) initiatives within Janssen Pharmaceutical K.K. This pivotal role involves steering a team of multidisciplinary experts to drive data-driven marketing strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach across multiple channels and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision for marketing competency aligned with commercial strategies, fostering a competitive edge in communication to patients and healthcare professionals.

Ø  Competency Development: Devise a future-ready competency model for marketers in alignment with the organization’s vision, crafting training strategies and programs to bolster cross-functional marketing capabilities.

Ø  Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular competency assessments and analyze program effectiveness, leading the execution and periodic review of training initiatives.

Ø  CX & Agile Marketing: Drive end-to-end CX strategies, leveraging data insights to inform agile marketing campaigns, ensuring customer-centric approaches across digital channels.

Ø  Team Management: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team comprising CX, content, marketing, and analytics experts, defining workflow structures and driving customer-led methodologies.

Ø  Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including brand agencies, to shape creative planning, content creation, and media implementation for impactful campaigns.

Ø  Data Utilization: Utilize data analytics to drive insights, test campaign performance, monitor ROI, and make informed decisions, guiding technology choices for an improved user experience.

Ø  Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and excellence in performance.

Ø  Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying and solving complex problems, and executing projects within defined timelines.


Required experience and Skills:

Ø  Extensive experience in developing and implementing agile marketing strategies, preferably in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector.

Ø  Proven track record of leveraging customer insights to drive impactful business strategies and decision-making.

Ø  Leadership experience, fostering collaboration and excellence in cross-functional teams

Ø  6-7+ years of experience in marketing/brand management.

Ø  Proficient in marketing analytics, Marketing automation.

Ø  Change management and team leadership capabilities.

Ø  Fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication skills.

Ø  Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
