Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for 2 multiple Manager, External Reporting. These positions will be based in New Brunswick, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.     

It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.    

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Perform external reporting and disclosure activities surrounding the filing of the Companies Forms 10-K, 10- Q, certain 8-K’s supporting the company’s earnings releases with the SEC 

  • Perform complex analysis on the company’s financial statements and operating results related to the preparation of periodic filings with the SEC 

  • Work autonomously to develop solutions to complex accounting / disclosure issues and make recommendations to management 

  • Evaluate and analyze the company’s disclosures in periodic SEC filings as compared to the required disclosures as prescribed in the U.S. GAAP checklist 

  • Assist in drafting financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures for our quarterly and annual filings with the SEC 

  • Support Director to address and resolve questions / concerns raised by the external auditors 

  • Support preparation and coordination of the year-end audit process, quarterly reviews, and partner effectively with external auditors, providing support and guidance in preparation of schedules and other analysis and assists in responding to recommendations 

  • Assist in the analysis of strategic transactions 

  • Assist in drafting other sections of the quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, including the MD&A  


Position Requirements: 

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 

  • A minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience 

  • SEC reporting experience 

  • Knowledge of external SEC reporting requirements for public companies 

  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and business partnering skills 

  • Detail-oriented and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Self-directed and motivated to continuously improve processes 

Preferred Requirements/Competencies:

  • CPA, CMA, Chartered Accountant, CGMA or other professional accounting qualification  

  • MBA and/or other business/accounting master’s degree   

  • Experience in public accounting and/or a public company environment 

  • Experience interacting with external auditors in supporting disclosures based on facts and US GAAP/SEC disclosure requirements

  • Experience sharing best practices in accounting, reporting and disclosure with peers in their industry

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $97,000 to $166,750.
